Hello and welcome to Create Space Yoga!  We exist to to help people find their spiritual potential through yoga, meditation, breath and chanting.  We teach a style of yoga called Hot or Heated Yoga.

 

What is Hot Yoga?

 

Heated or Hot Yoga, is a series of hatha yoga postures and breathing exercises designed to cleanse every part of the body and provide a complete mind/body workout.  Heat plays a very important role in the Hot Yoga series. The room is heated to 80+ degrees, which warms and relaxes the entire body, promoting suppleness and the release of toxins. Practicing yoga in the heat leads to a deeper stretch and helps avoid injuries. Regular practice of Hot Yoga will improve muscle tone, normalize weight, and help you enjoy vibrant good health and well-being. No previous experience required for beginning hot yoga.  All levels of students will benefit from postures that tone the muscles, improve circulation, and strengthen the immune system.  Meditation, chanting and pranayama may also be incorporated into the practice.        

 

What are the benefits of Hot Yoga?

 

* Temperature keeps the body from overheating
* Protects the muscles, allowing for deeper stretching
* Toxins are encouraged to be ‘sweated out’ through open pores
* Thinning the blood and encouraging improved circulation
* Cardiovascular workout and enhancing muscle strength

 

How should I prepare for class?

 

* Drink lots of water hours prior to class 
* Bring a small and large towel 
* Proper workout clothing. We recommend clothing be as light as possible.
* An empty stomach at least 2 hours before class.
